Thankful Thursday, on a Sunday

For a gorgeous weekend, just when I needed it the most...

After a fun Saturday visiting an amusement park and going to an afternoon tea, today we spent a leisurely day in our own backyard - one of my very favorite places in our home. After breakfast this morning, I immediately set up the blow-up pool, and we broke out the swim suits by 9:00am. We only left the yard to go into the house for snacks, lemonade, the occasional potty break and a nap for Milly. My Mom came up with two bags full of clothes from my sister, just when Seesa was outgrowing everything she owns. My friend Katie visited in the morning with her girls. I cleaned all the bunny cages - call me crazy, but it relaxes me. We ordered pizza for dinner and ate outside, since it was still so beautiful.

And for friends, in the blogosphere and in "real life", who catch me when I fall and hold me up - just when I need it the most.

I'm so very thankful.

Sounds like a wonderful day! I love spending the afternoon in the backyard although I don't cleaning the bunny cage would relax me. I can't wait for swim suit weather here. Your girls look like they have such a fun time in the pool together. So sweet!

Oh that sounds like such a great weekend. And you've inspired me - I want to get one of those inflatable pools. Maybe not this year - but next. I think the fooster would love it! Love those pics of your girls this weekend.
ps - we read that book to her this weekend and she loved it - as did we. Oh, and the toffee? disappeared as soon as we opened it. DELISH!

Wow. We're still a good month away from bathing suits and blow up pools. Thanks for the taste of what's to come. And, btw, your girls? Adorable!

The pool? In April? Am jealous. :) Snowed here this weekend. But it's supposed to be 70 next weekend. Sigh..that's still not pool weather.

Looks like they had a blast.

Ahhh... summer.

Hope you didn't have a hard time sorting through all that stuff. The good stuff was mixed in with the crappy stuff. I have another bag now that is mostly awesome sundresses. Not as much crap.

Also, cleaning out the bunny cages is NOT relaxing. I think one of us must be adopted.

Rescue always comes in one form or another. Or many forms.

if cleaning a bunny cage relaxes you, you are blessed. Shopping relaxes me, I have no money and therefore have a tough time relaxing

Oh my goodness, thank you for reminding me about the blow up pool. I'm pulling it out first thing tomorrow morning, and you know what I'm talking about! Can you believe it's only April?!

While I thought it was a tad too hot here this past weekend, seeing it again through your eyes makes me remember it a little more fondly. :-)

It also makes me want a blow-up pool. Almost.

I envy your ability to get everyone outside. I'm a much lazier parent...videos anyone? Seriously, your girls always look like they're having such great fun.
