We spent some rare couple time this weekend. The kids spent a day and evening with their favorite babysitter, and we spent the day in the beautiful Napa Valley - even if it was raining - at a barrel tasting at Nickel and Nickel Winery with my sister and her husband. The winery was lovely, the lunch was delicious and the wine was heavenly.
The timing was perfect, as it's also the thirteenth anniversary of the date that my husband asked me to marry him. That evening after we got home, I spent a few hours organizing all the kid's clothes, then we watched a movie on the couch with some popcorn. Romantic, I know. Which is pretty much what we used to do before having kids, sans the organization of said kid's clothing of course. Ah, memories.

Yay for a night out with the hubby. It sounds perfect!
much deserved for all of you!
Ooohhh a winery? I wish I could have been there. Ha, I even could have, since I was in San Jose all weekend. :)
Romantic, is watching a movie on the couch...as long as you aren't watching Nemo. :)

Cheers to many many more...
I completely agree with old Ben about wine and God!! It's funny when you said that's what you guys used to do pre-kids, I look back to us before Deaglan and there really wasn't a whole lot of excitement going on either. Of course there definitely was more wine!
Sounds like a perfect night! I love Nickel and Nickel too!
